Olympus 1GB Digital Voice Recorder with LCD Display, VN-6000

The recorder works as advertised. It's not a high end product, but if you want a basic recording device that's easy to work and works well, this is the one. Good value for the money.

Very easy to use. I set the time the date and recorded my first recording without reading any directions. Batteries are included. Sound Playback is Good. Make sure are close to the speaker and not making alot of noise in your area bc it will pick it up.

The reviews I read were accurate(it is extemely easy to: a)understand the initial set-up b)make recordings c)access and playback recordings.Having an earphone jack is an absolute nessesity for me-and it has one.The product description does not inform you of that but another reviewer supplied that information. The spec. sheet included indicates battry life @39hrs but the included batteries didn't come close to that.They were an off-brand,perhaps old.No big deal.Whilst using headphones sound transmits to one earpnone ony-I could care less.I use it exclusively as an educational tool for work.

Was looking for a voice recorder for my daughter to use and found just what I was looking for in this Olympus model. It's easy to use, good sound quality, and a great value. I'm sure it will be useful for many things.

Works as stated. Small enough to have handy all the time & even records at a distance well enough. The folder design (there are 4 of them) is handy for separating random thoughts from To-Do's, etc. Now all I need to do is remember to push record during my - flashes of Genius ;-)
