I larger pads I ordered for my older TENS unit have made it much easier to apply relief to my hip/lower back are as well as my shoulders. When I saw my PCP recently, he asked if I was still using my TENS -- I told him I had just taken it back out to use after a flare of sciatica. It provides much relief, and after the first of the year,I will start back to a chiro, now that my insurance supports that again. Oh -- and the order was received in record time - 3 days. Nice job at this time of year. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Purchased the unit and was very pleased. The initial pair of pads that came with the unit lasted quite a while. Ordered the second pair in anticipation of the same. I have not used this pair 20 times and they WILL NOT STICK. Poor product....so disappointed.

I love the tens unit but cost of the replacement pads is ridiculous... it's half again as much as the unit itself... if I had known this I'd have bought a cheaper unit... probably from another company... [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I am a little disappointed, I purchased my TENS unit on October 5th and just three days later one of the pads is not working properly. This unit was giving me immense relief from two pinched nerves in my lumbar region after a car accident, I am simply disappointed that I have to replace the pads already and I do not know what I am going to do for relief while I wait for the new pads to come in.

I attempted to use my TENS system to alleviate back pain when playing golf. It worked pretty well until the adhesive gel on the pads softened due to heat and perspiration, which limited the usefulness of the system for that purpose. As long as your skin stays relatively cool and dry this should not be a problem, but it helps if you raise the pads and store them according to the instruction sheet after each use. I have tried both the OMRON and Smart Relief TENS systems and each has its advantages. The wires from the OMRON system make it a bit more complicated to apply, but I like the fact that you can see the controls. The Smart Relief system is easier to apply, but sometimes difficult o tell if it's turned on.
