On The Border Cafe Style Tortilla Chips, Gluten-Free, 16.5 oz Bag

These were a substitute that I approved, because we needed them for the cheese dip, for dinner that night. They were just okay when we opened the bag, not as good as the cantina style we had ordered. But, the following day they already had a tougher stale-like texture, and we're sure the bag was sealed tightly with a chip clip overnight. They're just not our favorite.

The chips were not all broken up in this bag I purchased. The chips were super crunchy and perfectly salted. I like how the chips were not too thin so when I dipped/scoop my homemade guac, the chips didn't break in the bowl. I wanted the "freshly made" taste, so I laid a few handfuls of chips on a cookie sheet and warmed in the oven on 300 degrees for 6 minutes and it was perfect. I puchased again to use with my homemade queso with ground beef.

Two large bags of on the border chips arrived all smashed in small pieces. One bag had been popped open. This occurred because 8 - 28 oz cans of beans were packed loose in delivery box. I never received an apology either! I haven't ordered from Walmart since.

The price of the chips jumped to $48. for four (4) bags of chips, which included $20 shipping fee; which is ridiculous. However, when the chips arrived, I was forced to pay an additional $22.30 for postage. I paid $40 for postage. Four (4) bags of chips cost us $70. I want to cancel my Walmart card and never shop there again. You destroyed my trust.

These tortilla chips are very good quality and quantity. They are sturdier than some others. Excellent for dipping as well as a good addition to numerous South of the border meals.
