Owlet - Cam 2, HD Video Baby Monitor - White

I like that the quality is semi-decent and is able to record 30 second video clips when motion, sound and crying are detected. Fairly accurate with sensitivities turned high. I think for a baby monitor the camera quality is a grainy but still viewable, especially in night mode. Feedback time is pretty accurate with only a small lag. Overall a good pairing with the Owlet sock. I do find the temperature and moisture sensors to be a couple degrees inaccurate but Owlet did provide a disclaimer that location of the sensor can affect readings.

We love our Owlet Cam 2! One of the biggest things we appreciate is how mobile it is. The camera and cord are super easy to move around, so we can adjust it to different spots in the room depending on where our baby is. The long cord is a huge plus too—it gives us flexibility without needing to be right next to an outlet. Another feature we love is that it shows the temperature and humidity levels in the room. It gives us peace of mind knowing our baby’s environment is just right. The only big downside is the lag on the camera. Sometimes there’s a noticeable delay between what’s happening in real-time and what shows up on the app. Also, the voice feature isn’t super clear—when we try to talk through the camera, it’s hard to hear on the other end. Overall, it’s a great camera with a few quirks, but we still really enjoy having it as part of our baby monitor setup.

I love this camera! So nice to be able to access from anywhere on my phone! I love that it shows the temp and humidity of the room. I do wish the app was compatible with Alexa Echo Show that way I could have the baby monitor streamed through there instead of waking up to open my phone and get in the app each time I want to check the camera throughout the night.

I absolutely love this monitor. I do wish it had the ability to move without moving the base. Regardless, it is great quality between the sound and picture. Having the ability to see her heart rate and oxygen levels while having the video up is convenient, less stress for a new mom still trying to get chores accomplished. I recommend owlet products to my new mommy friends as well!

Connection issues constantly! We just moved our 3m/o daughter into her own room last night for the first time. We’ve been using the camera for a few weeks and although it hasn’t been perfect, we’ve never had issues with it disconnecting completely. It takes forever to load on the app usually and the sound cuts in and out but never off completely. Our house is small, so it’s definitely not too far from the WiFi router, and we don’t have issues with anything else disconnecting from the wifi. Thankfully something in my gut told me to wake up and check on her last night because I couldn’t hear her sound machine on the owlet app. When I went to get her she had been crying for several minutes I’m assuming because of how sweaty and stuffy she was. I brought her back in my room for the night and will not be moving her back until we get a different camera. I’m so thankful I woke up when I did, because we couldn’t hear her crying over her sound machine and we have to keep the sound machine going so she doesn’t wake her brother when she does cry.
