Was weighed at my Dr's office yesterday... got this delivered today and this thing isn't even close. Tried it several times after opening it and it gave a different weight each time I stepped on it.
Could not get accurate weight. It varies every flipping time I use it. And it's a 20-10 lbs variant. I have moved it multiple times and waited for it to "recalculate"...to NO avail. Purposely left it in same spot over a week and are getting ridiculous readings (varies within 2 minutes)... GARBAGE. Total Waste of Money
Every time I get on it's a different measurement even if it's seconds apart, it would be okay if it was a couple of ounces off but it's a 2 pound differences.
Honestly this is the type of product that shouldnt have too much room for error, as what it does can have serious effects on a persons body image and mental health. I bought this scale a month ago.. when I first stepped on it said 162.. more than I expected but ok.. I have been doing intense cardio 4-5 times a week.. some weight lifting.. calorie deficient..healthy clean eating.. somedays I will stand on it and it will say 142, then 149, then 159 when the night before it was at 152. I know weight can fluctuate a few times throughout the day but the differences within a minute of step on- step off - wait for clear- step on- step off.. are just too dramatic. I have no clue what I weigh.. my stomach drops when I step on there and it reads in the 160s again. Wish I had never bought it.
TLDR: Have had it a month, still works fine. When my old scale's LCD failed (numbers partially displayed, had to guess most of the time) and a fresh battery didn't fix it, I looked for something powered by a CR2032 lithium battery so the ones I'd bought for the broken scale wouldn't go to waste. Found this scale on deep discount and snapped it up. Unfortunately what I received did not run on a lithium battery but rather two AAA batteries. Fortunately it came with a set of said AAAs so no real loss (I'll just have to find something else to put the new lithium battery in). Popped the batteries in and the scale powered up fine. No more guesswork about the weight; the numbers are large with high contrast for good readability. The glass surface worried me a bit but it seems quite strong and, as long as nothing heavy or sharp drops on it and it isn't dropped on the floor, I think I'll be able to get over my trust issues for a minute each day. My bathroom is small and the only logical place is next to the sink but I don't like leaving the scale lying out, so I fashioned from a couple of stick-on hooks a sort of rack to secure the scale on its side against the sink cabinet. When I'm ready to use the scale I do need to tap-step on it to wake it and let it calibrate for the surface. If I don't let it calibrate, it "gifts" me with 2-3 surprise extra pounds followed by a large "C" on the display. Step off and then on again, and it's accurate again *whew* I see the price has gone up a bit in the month since I bought mine, but still seems worth it to me even at the current price (under 15 bucks).
