JBL Marine Series MS 6520 - Speakers - for marine - 60 Watt - 2-way - coaxial - 6"

I installed these yesterday. The sound is fantastic for the price. fter reading the reviews here I willwait to see how well they hold up. Installed on my 20 foot pontoon using a Claion M508 receiver.

I have these speakers on my 2017 Sea Hunt and I have shattered tow speakers just buy scuffing them with my foot. Not very happy for such a quality brand.

I purchased a 2016 Sea Hunt Ultra new with these speakers and have had 5 of 6 of the speaker grills break and literally deteriorate when you touch them. Not what I would expect from JBL

3 yr old boat with 6 of these speakers all now need replaced due to the grills falling apart. Contacted jobless and was told I needed to look into replacing my speakers. It's a heck of a cost for 6 speakers that are only 3 years old. Not happy

Believe the reviews! After two years in a brand new boat, which was racked indoors (out of the sun for 95% of its life) at the marina, eighteen months in, these grilles (to which the tweeters are attached) began disintegrating. I swear, you would think these speakers were designed to be biodegradable! After a full two years, these grilles are literally crumbling. The grilles now have roughly the structural integrity of saltine crackers. If you think about pinching a cracker between your fingers, that is the exact pressure needed to crumble the larger section of grille which have fallen out. I have never seen anything like it!
