Panasonic ES-SA40-K - Shaver - cordless

Prior to purchasing, I read through the product description, product specs, and customer reviews. Based on what I had read, and being that it is a well known brand name product, the price seamed very reasonable. When I received the product, I first very carefully read through all the enclosed product literature and directions for use. I first charged it for the proper listed amount of time, and then proceeded to try out the shaver as directed. The battery seemed perfectly fine as the shaver both sounded and felt like it was running on full power. So there was definitely NOT any issues with the battery or the charge. The shaver just simply did not work very well at all. It cut some hair, but not much. I kept going over the same areas on my face over and over again with the shaver. It was not doing much in the way of cutting hair. I even tried out the pop-up beard trimmer to see if that was perhaps any better as far as shaving facial hair... it was NOT!! This shaver is specifically advertised to give a "close shave" with little to no irritation. Not only did this shaver NOT produce a close shave, but it barely cut any hair at all... it didn't even give a shave of any kind! I returned this shaver to walmart! Bottom line: Don't waste your time and money on a product that simply put does not cut hair... which is supposed to be the purpose of a shaver in the first place.

My barber recommended this shaver to me, he uses it to perfect bald fades, clean up around line ups & the other standard spots. I use it for the same, it works great to go the extra on a hair cut. I use it regularly for my self as well and it's a pleasing buy --cuts close w/ out irritation.-- very easy to clean. *the down sides are: the charging light doesn't turn green when its done, it always stays red The push up trimmer feature is weak--(get a T blade )

this shaver worked right out of the box - dry later with soap and warm water it was a great shave. this worked great on my trip to Mexico - the shaver lasted about 5 days of morning and night touch up shaves. the charger is great and works upside down as the shaver clicks in place. clean up is easy - so far its a good tool - not as close as a blade, but the best electric I've used.

I've used it for a month, always in the shower wet shaving. It works superbly with a minimum of shaving cream. Works VERY well around the mouth and chin. I've used Norelco's for 35 years, and this razor is a closer, longer lasting shave (having the wet shave advantage over the Norelco). It takes longer than a blade on the neck and up the sides of the face, so I use a blade for speed in those areas. Wet shaving, I have not had the problem of stubble in the creases that have been experienced by others. Don't use the triimmer part, since it doesn't trim as well as the blade shaving. For value, I can buy 2-1/2 of these for what I was paying for new Norelco shavers, and this one does better, and in the shower at that. Charge lasts well over a week, and only takes up one outlet on my 4 outlet panel. I'm very pleased with the product, and highly recommend it for wet shaving. Only improvement would be a better hand hold on the trimmer side, since when it's wet it has a tendency to extend the trimmer blade while you're shaving.

i am very pleased with this shaver, every now and then i switch from razor to electric shaver, and then back. since its been a while since iv used an electric i wanted to see if performance had changed. design has certainly changed but the basic cutter configuration is basicaly the same however materials have changed, better metals, better plastics. i like the rounded single cutter head, it makes this shaver very versatile. it works well with gels and foams, works well wet, easy to rinse while shaving annd easy to clean after shaving. the pop up trimmer works well, it is a bit wide but its fine. the shaver holds a charge very well. the rounded head is smooth and doest scratch. i like this shaver alot and use it daily. also, walmart online service has been great, fast shipments and great tracking features.
