Great iron, steam removes every wrinkle on each garment. Be sure to follow directions and do not overfill the water as a small water leak can result. M
This iron is fantastic. This is my second Panasonic iron, which is the newer version of the one I used for years. I use it quite a bit as a steamer, too. It works better than a handheld steamer. Good and heavy. Not for those who want a light weight iron. Good ironing requires heat, steam, pressure, and weight.
I was a bit hesitant to buy this brand, but saw the good reviews and went ahead and took a chance. I have to say its been a good product so far. It does not leak, the retractable cord is great. It doesn't tip over when standing upright (like the last Shark brand I had). The only thing is that the little wheel to turn the temperature is a bit hard to get into to be able to turn it (hence the 4 star rating). But its not that bad, it can be done, I think it could've been better, but its okay so far. It irons my husband's business shirts very well. Can't complain, its an overall good product.
I have only used this a few times, so I can't tell how durable it is. I like the retractable cord. The weight is about right. I never used steam (started out sewing as a quilter) from the iron, so I can't say anything to the removeable water container. It works. Drawbacks are the iron temp control and the heating. The temp control has numbers and no setting fabric types, so you'll have to know them. Also, it's a round knob and that's what broke on my last iron (different company) so we'll see. As for the heat light, sometimes it turns off while waiting or ironing and then turns back on. My guess is that it is maintaining a temperature for the setting selection, but I don't like the feeling that I'm getting imperfect or uneven temps.
we have only had the iron for about a week and used a few times. no problems and the water refill tank works quite well. it appears to be an excellent value. we do primarily light touch up ironing on everyday clothes etc.
