very convenient and affordable at the same. would recommend this brand if you are a parent on a budget
Great price!!! Love them.
I have invested in several different brands, due to exclusively pumping, to include, Medela, Kiinde, Gerber and Evenflo (all with slow flow nipples). Here's why they work for me: *economical *connects with my single (hand) and double breast pumps *nipple has prevented the amount of air intake for my child, reducing gassiness and spit up *does not collapse *doesn't increase nipple preference *easy to clean and hasn't become cloudy *****although I can usually find them in store between my two homes in Albuquerque, NM and West Palm Beach, FL, the online option does not allow color/gender choice*****
When I was pregnant with my son, (my first child), I was stressing out about all the different kinds of bottles out there because I knew nothing about what I needed. I eventually settled on the Phillips Avent bottles. I used them a couple of times before I realized that they just weren't helping my son and he would struggle to get the milk out. I even changed nipple sizes a few times to make sure it wasn't that. My mother-in-law eventually brought home a pack of these Parent's Choice bottles. They are so amazing. The price is perfect. I have since bought another couple packs of these bottles and will be getting the next size nipples and the 9-oz bottles so I can keep using them. We tried using the Dr. Brown bottles recently to see if that would help his air intake, and it honestly doesn't seem to have made any difference at all. So we just use whatever bottle we have sitting around when it's time to feed him. Not worth spending all the extra money when these work just as well. As far as people say about the nipples collapsing, it has happened a couple times to me. He can really suck at that thing pretty hard if he's really hungry. But I just take it out of his mouth, turn it right-side-up real quick and let the air out, and give it right back to him. Honestly, it hasn't been a very big deal. It only takes a couple seconds. But I guess if you have a screamer on your hands, it may become frustrating.
When I was setting up my registry, I researched all the expensive, complicated bottles, like the Playtex ones with the air vents, and the Dr. Brown bottles with the straws. I chose the Playtex ones. Maybe it was just me, but as a new mom, I didn't have the time, patience, or energy to try to figure out how to wash all those little parts and put them back together. I bought these. They were pretty inexpensive, they were really easy to wash and put together, didn't leak between the collar and the nipple (unlike the Gerber Essentials-STAY AWAY!) and most of all, my son had no problem with them. We kept some in the diaper bag, loaded with formula, and had bottled water available for when we were on the go. Just a tip for new moms. :)
