I wanted something small and attractive that would fit in our backyard; this meets that need. We were both surprised when we opened the box and there was rust over the entire firepit. It appeared that the box got wet prior to shipment. I am concerned that the rust will continue and that the firepit will not last long. The firepit comes with a cover. Hopefully, this will help protect the firepit.
We bought this fire pit back in May of 2012 and it is still going strong (June 2016). It's not all that heavy so we can move it around the yard wherever we want to be. Fires are great and most importantly safe with this. I love that the fire is contained so that we can go to sleep and not worry about lighting up our whole neighborhood (we keep it mostly on the driveway since we don't have a patio yet). My only gripe is that the screen broke and our cover ripped. Both of those happens years ago. In fact, I'm only back on the website to look for replacements for those and thought I would give an update on our fire pit. Which, FYI is the same price now as it was in 2012.
Easy to set up & start using. No assembly required. We are using duraflame logs which makes it even easier. We have placed the firepit on our backyard patio and are enjoying sitting by the fire with family & friends on cool winter evenings in S.W.FL.
Not whatI thought. if you like very ""Rustic"" than you will like this. i was expecting someting with a Patina finish, not just rusted metal. Quality of the constuction is fine and the guage metal is very sturdy.
Just received the pit last week used it a couple of times, deep pit with great screen, grill and fire poker/screen remover w/poly cover. Not sure of the durability of the cover, well see! I am happy with the purchase and would do it again. If it was on sale even better. bought for 200.00 plus.
