Perky-Pet The Grand Master 48 oz Hummingbird Feeder

heavy when filled, but serves lots of birds without being filled multiple times a day - easy to clean, use strong hanger

The small yellow inserts for the flowers that are supposed to press in the slots do not fit well and kept popping out.

The feeder has to be assembled, which is okay. The top red portion holding the hanger is the only piece already in place. I assembled the parts (a bit difficult with arthritis), then had to carefully trim excess plastic from the bottom of the clear tube before it would fit into the lower portion. I filled the feeder, hung it, and had hummingbirds using it immediately. Ten minutes later, I looked again and it was on the ground. Turns out the top portion screws on, and was not tight when it arrived, so the unit separated and let the tube and bottom portion fall to the ground, cracking the tube. It's now unusable because it leaks from the crack.

This feeder is a real hit at our house. We always have 8-10 Perky Pet hummingbird feeders up at all times during the busy season. This is one of those times. We currently have 3-1 cup feeders, 3-4 cup feeders & 3-6 cup feeders. (We do have 2-2 cup feeders of another brand but the hummys seem to prefer the Perky pet ones the best.) Our hummys are fighting over who gets the best feeding spot and this 6 cup feeder wins by far. I have 3 of these up now and they are so easy to maintain. The plastic is durable and the large opening is fabulous for cleaning and filling. There are 6 ports on each feeder and right at the mid/end of summer/beginning of fall I have hummys on all of the ports at once. The hummingbirds empty these big feeders every 2 & 1/2 days so convinience is a big thing at our house. I am here to order 2 more of the 6 cup feeders so when our pet sitter comes she won't have to fill the many hummy feeders that we do have while we are away. Thank you for a wonderful product.

I bought three of these feeders three weeks ago. Two of them constantly leak from beneath. I have tried a liquid sealer on the bottom all around the base. They still leak just not as bad. They really need to go back and redesign these feeders and make the bottom seal better. From hanging in the sun it causes the plastic to separate enough to cause constant dripping which in turn brings the ants in force. I would not purchase another one. I am sticking with the glass 32 oz.
