Used it to seal carb and intake manifold on a 5th scale R/C car and it worked perfectly.

I've always had good experiences with Permatex as long as I use the right product for the job. Their blue is hard to beat when working on water pump replacements.

Permatex Ultra Blue gasket maker. Gasket maker has many purposes in the automotive world and is mostly used to seal parts together. However, I used it for a different purpose, as you can see from the pictures attached, container is just being used for laundry soap granules, so I wasn't concerned about using this product in this application. There is no rubber gasket between the two so when the washing machine shakes the lip rattled on top of the container. I obviously would not recommend using this with anything you'd use food in, but in this case, it worked really well. As you can see from the pictures we just put it fairly thin beat around the lid of the container and it took a minimum of 1 hour to dry to where it was not tacky anymore before setting it back on the base. But so far this has been working great for my application. The back of the package does say it's suitable across or wide range of applications. For best results, surfaces should be clean and dry. You cut the nozzle depending on how big of a bead you want. If you're using it as an actual gasket maker for automotive purposes, there are very specific instructions on the back on how to use this. This is fairly fumey so you definitely want to use this outside or in an open area. For automotive applications it does recommend applying a continuous speed of silicone to one surface surrounding all bolt holes, assemble all parts immediately while silicone is still wet, and then finger tighten until material begins to squeeze. Then let it dry for 1 hour then tighten the torque specs. And also recommends without 24 hours to fully cure before feeling the fluids are returning to service. The Ultra Blue says it's idea for older vehicles, sensor safe our TV silicone. This particular tube is 3.35 Oz.

I wanted to try to get something because oftentimes gaskets crack or get lost so it's amazing to have something you can create for yourself. I do want to mention from the get-go that this is a product that you CAN NOT use right away and you have to wait 24 hours before using it with something that has liquid contact so that it can fully cure. I didn't have anything that I needed it for at the moment but I tested it on an air filter to see the shape, texture and how well it works. When I allowed it to dry, I felt the actual bead and it feels strong and semi-flexible (firm). The actual packaging design is helpful as it metal and allows you to squeeze the packaging out and will stay in the shape you leave it in. The packaging is created in a way that the cap contains a sharp point to pierce the tip of the tube. It also comes with a tube connector to apply the bead properly. The tube connector has premolded cutaway pieces to make it easier to determine where to cut off the tubing to make the bead. The warnings on the packaging and the actual tube are helpful as well. I would not use this product without gloves due to irritation and because it can cause cancer. Overall it's a great product and helps you create a gasket in situations where another one isn't available.

This was so easy to use. It dried quickly and made the job so much easier. We have not had any problems with this at all. It actually worked better than we could have expected. We were very pleasant lly surprised.
