Personal Safe - w/Electronic Lock 1-Shelf

I really like the compactness of this safe, especially considering I use it in my car. I have bolted it inside the trunk of my car and because of the shape of my trunk, I am also able to "conceal" the safe from view when the trunk is open. It is easy for me to access and I really like the fact that I am able to use my OWN combination for it . I also like the fact that you can use either the combination OR the key for accessing the safe...especially if you were to "forget" your combination. Can't even tell from looking at it that it can take a key to open. Hint: if you decide to use this in your vehicle, remember to keep the key either with you (attached to your regular keys, or in your wallet or purse) or, somewhere in your vehicle. Great for storing "extra cash" while you travel, or your check book and you don't want to bulk up your pockets or purses with it, and for whatever else you consider valuable. SUPERB for storing your firearm(s) when traveling, as well, which is why I initially bought it in the first place!

I ordered thru Walmart and had item delivered to store at no charge. I have read some reviews about this product that complained about safe arriving with chips, dings etc. I inspected at store and it was in perfect condition. It is easy to program, attach to wall and shelf and holds 3-4 handguns with ammo. Great price - under $60. Not firesafe but very sturdy.

This is how it appears. Good strong little safe, but not too little. Got some valuables and a handgun or two to lock up? This is a great safe for it. Not hard to learn how to put in your pin in the dark. Can be changed to silent mode, but a yellow light flashes to verify every time you hit a button. Green light comes on when correct code is entered. Small "clank" is heard when lock is released. The shelf padding is junk but no biggie.

The safe opened right up if I twist the knob a few times. A safe that doesnt lock properly is worthless. I like it but just didnt lock there is something wrong with the locking in it.

This is exactly what I needed and fills the need perfectly. It would probably be best to bolt it down to the floor but I have not done so. The inside has enough space to store all the items that I needed it for. It even has a removable shelf and a thin foam pad for both levels to protect your items. The keypad lock is a good feature that is easy to program and use. It has a hidden keyed lock to overide the kepad should it fail or the battery need replacement. Stack-On safes represent a good value at this price point. This is the third Stack-On safe that I have purchased, so I can recommend them with confidence.
