I bought these to use for tie outs for my goats, and I believe they will be perfect for what I need. I have dwarf nigerian goats.
I bought this for my 60# 11 month old labrottie. it says rated at 60# so i figured it would be good. But NO i was wrong. my dog bent the stake and snapped the cable in less than a month. The company did send a replacement cable. The company says that the rating is a peak lb rating. so cut the rating in half and thats what size dog its good for. so for this tie out n stake i would only use it on dogs less than about 30- 40#. for a 60# dog get the at least the 125# rating cable. The stake is hard to turn in the ground. when the dog pulls on it, it makes a hole in the ground and is not very secure. alot of the stake sticks up on top the ground and bends easy when pulled on. also it is hard to mow around. My recommendation is get the stake kind that hammers in the ground. its much more secure! and its flush with the ground and can be mowed over and almost invisible. the tie out tends to wear where it is looped and clamped. once the coating rubs off the wire rusts very quickly. Conclusion: good for small dogs but not large.
Strong enough to hold my dog. Goes in the ground easy .
I was twisting it in the ground and the hook broke with no force
I'm able to put my dog out and let her run in the yard and she loves it.
