Petmate Covered Cat Litter Box with Microban, Large, Tan

came with broken latch but the unbroken latch does not snap in securely making handle function useless

I purchased this exact litter box several years ago and have been very pleased with the product, so when I needed a second litter box I was glad to find it still available on line. This is NOT the same litter box as I currently own. Very poor quality. The hood unit does not fit properly and pops off a few seconds after snapping in place. Also, the plastic is very thin. Poor manufacturing process...a cost cutting measure, I'm sure. Would be willing to pay more for better quality. I returned this one.

This is a nice jumbo sized litter box, dimensions are accurate. I bought this for my 12lb cat. Although the design in pictures looks nice, the detail on the actual product is poor. Edges of the litterbox look like they were trimmed quickly by hand via an assembly line; crooked and jagged in some places. The "vent" for the filter at the top doesn't even look it was trimmed. You can see the lines where a machine or a person was supposed to cut it except it wasn't. Excess plastic material is still attached. It doesn't make the product nonfunctional, it just didn't seem that Petmate had any quality control measures for this product. I'm hoping I just got a bad one because I have other Petmate products that are NOT like this and it just didn't seem like them! Also, it doesn't come with a door flap although it does have hooks inside at the top of the entrance where it looks like you can hang something there. Not sure if they actually sell the door flap separate. My priority was to get an average priced litterbox as large as possible and this was it!

i have a huge rag doll kitty the Normal litter boxes are to small her butt does not fit hehe..this one is perfect. she has her privacy which she loves..the filter keeps the smell away i have to check the box now to see if she went i get no odors..GREAT price and quality...

Box serves its purpose well. My cats took right to it. Only con is that lid does not latch.
