Philips Avent 9 Oz. Insulated Straw Cup

I'll begin by saying that I received this as a free sample product. That said, my review is based only on my experience with the cup. This is definitely a quality cup that lives up to it's claims. It's very durable as well as cute. The colors and designs are so cheerful! I love that it's a safer plastic and though it's dishwasher safe, we prefer to wash it by hand. It does take a little time to learn how to safely dissemble it. To clean, we just fill a bowl with hot soapy water and let the parts soak for awhile, rinse and let air dry. Two issues to keep in mind: 1. The straw is not as durable as the cup itself. If you're child is a chewer, you may need to keep an eye on the condition of the straw. It can be trimmed if the end becomes frayed. 2. And second, if you keep the cup filled and refrigerated, you need to release the pressure by loosening and then re-tightening the lid. If you do that you should have no problems with leaking.

I was pleased when I received the Philips Avent insulated sippy cup in the mail to review for my two-year-old daughter. The design is well thought out. The top lid turns so the straw bends and is hidden under the lid. This is a great feature so it doesn't leak and other kids don't put their mouths on the straw (very sanitary for a germ phobic mom!). The cup is easy to take apart and clean, the straw separates into two pieces to wash, I sent the top of the cup and straw pieces through the dishwasher and hand washed the insulated base. I really like this cup; the only negative thought is that it doesn't keep liquids cold for a very long time. I filled the insulated cup with milk and stored it in the refrigerator in the morning. Later that morning as we left the house I put the cup in my bag and left it in there at room temperature for four hours. When I opened the cup to check the temperature of the milk, it had warmed to room temperature. In the future, I will be sure to have the milk finished within three hours. Overall, I am really pleased with the sippy cup and look forward to purchasing a few more to add to my collection.

I received a free sample of this product to review and was excited to try out another cup with my 2 year old. This cup works very well and overall I don't have very many complaints. The design is cute, it is durable and easy to use. I love that it is insulated so I can put milk in it an throw it in the diaper bag. If it is shut, there is no way my daughter could open it on her own- which could be good or bad, depending on the situation. The only complaint I have is that it has a few more pieces to clean than other cups we have.

I received a free sample of this cup for my son to try. I was very impressed! I thought the straw would drip when tipped over but it did not. It was knocked over and even thrown in my diaper bag and not one drop leaked. It was very easy to clean, the entire straw was easy to remove clean and assemble again. I also noticed that when I filled the cup with ice and a drink it stayed cold for a very long time. I am very happy with this product!

I am highly impressed with the Avent Philips Twist n Sip! I received a free sample in exchange for agreeing to write a review and am so glad to have had the chance to try it. First, I love that this cup remains BPA free...all parts of it. But my very favorite part is the fact that the straw twists inside the cap so it stays clean and germ-free! So easy and fun for little ones to keep their drinks clean. It is also a good size for drinks and easy to hold. The only part that was a slight drawback (and why I would give it 4 stars vs. 5) is that it can leak in certain circumstances and is not totally spill proof. For just everyday use, such as filling it up and taking it in the car, it won`t leak. But for some reason, it will leak when you change temperatures. The straw will back up a little and then leak out once you open it. Nothing major, but enough that it`s a little irritating. However, we mostly use this with water or juice that doesn`t need to be refrigerated and don`t run into that situation often. I will absolutely be buying more of these cups. They are easy to clean and put back together without a fear of mold growing in them. You won`t go wrong buying these cups!
