So, I needed something to disinfect my menstrual cups. I have been on the hunt for something easy and affordable cause I hate sitting at the stove waiting for water to boil. Anyway, I followed the directions on the guide EXACTLY and I can guarantee this does the job. It even has a nifty little plastic tweezer. I recommend placing the tweezer in the first cycle with whatever youre gonna disinfect and whatnot, so that you get to pull stuff out of there with 100% cleanliness. Also, please be sure to use a measuring cup or bottle or something where you can put THE EXACT amount of water needed.
We were sceptical about this at first , but we have been using it so much! Multiple times per day and night. So much easier than boiling or other methods for sterilizing. We have started throwing in everything we need sterilised now - sponges, bottle brushes...
This may only take 2 minutes to sterilize the bottles but I can't stand how we the items remain.I wash in extremely hot water and rinse in extremely hot water, then use the dishwasher. To me this is a waste of money, I am so angry at myself for throwing the box away, or I would return it.
Beautiful new design. I have owned an Avent microwave bottle steamer for 13 years. Always love the product but the design has certainly changed for the better! Highly recommend, if you want an easy and environmentally friendly way to sterilize baby's bottles and or nursing supplies! :))
Before I gave birth I had a lot of people tell me this product was a waste of money - just use a dishwasher. As a couple with our first baby, we don't run the dishwasher enough to give me clean bottles as often as I need them.I have two of these and I use them both daily. Before our baby was born I did boil everything that was a massive hassle.I hear parents with multiple children who say sterilizing isn't necessary, but as a first time mom I wanted to.These are so easy to use I don't know why I wouldn't use them with future babies.Wash everything like normal, put everything inside with some water, pop it in the microwave for a couple of minutes and you're done - clean, sterile bottles, pacifiers, spoons.. whatever.I love this product and everything about it.It's big, yes, but you can nuke 3 bottles and all their parts, or you can do quite a few breast milk containers, whatever you need it for.I leave both on our counter top because I'm always washing bottles.Once it's full, in the microwave it goes.If you don't have the extra space it might be a nuisance, but for me it's a part of my daily routine.
