Philips Avent Anti-colic Baby Bottle with AirFree Vent Newborn Gift Set with Snuggle, Clear, SCD306/10

As a first-time mom, finding the right bottle was quite a challenge to assist with colic. After trying several brands, the Philips Avent has helped our son out the best with stopping colic. My baby loves these bottles. They do not leak, spill, or have too many pieces to lose like other anti colic bottles on the market. I like that the bottles are easy to rinse and wash. My son has not had gas or colic problems since we started using them- you can see all of the bubbles/air being released and is preventing him from ingesting additional air, which is from Phillips unique AirFree vent that draws air away from the nipple, keeping it full of milk and minimizing air ingestion during feeding, which can cause gas. The flow of the nipple is smooth, perfect for the first months. The bottles also promote upright feeding, which has helped with digestion and reduce reflux. I love that these are dishwasher safe and can be used interchangeably with other Phillips Advent collections. I will be using only Phillips Advent bottles. You will not regret this purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This set has everything you need to get started with bottle feeding and bigger bottles for when your little is older. After trying many bottles, the Phillips Avent Anti-colic system is the only thing that drastically improved gas and reflux issues in our baby. There is hardly any spit up now even if she doesn't end up burping. I would give it a 5/5 in terms of symptom improvement, however the bottles are a pain to assemble and clean. The green vent has to be in tightly in order to seal without leaking, but then it is really hard to pry it out. For the first few uses I had to use a knife to pry it out, which caused it to deform a little over time. The vent also tends to deform from the sterilizer use over time, making it hard to push all the way in and causing leakage over time. There is also no way to assemble it without touching the vent with your hands which can be a concern in terms of keeping everything sterile. Another downside is formula tends to clump in the vent part when mixing. I end up mixing it in the bottle without the vent first, opening it back up and putting the vent in then. It's not a problem when feeding breast milk thought. The included brush is okay for washing the bottles, but you need something smaller for the bottle tops and vent. Our LO did not like the included paci but I do see that most newborns do like it. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this bottle set.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've been using the Phillips Avent bottles and nipples since my baby was born. These anti colic bottles really help my baby with gas. They are easy to clean, small and lightweight for my baby to hold on his own. I love this gift set since it includes everything you need to get started. I like the bottle brush this comes with for the bottle cleaning but have a smaller brush I use for the nipples. Another benefit is that these are so easy to clean. We have used numerous nipple flow sizes as my son grows and they all seem to work great. I received this product from stellar product testing in exchange for my honest opinion, however we've been using these prior to our sample and love them!

As a second time mom with a 5 week old, I think back to my time as first time mom and how much I would have loved this thoughtful set. This set comes with bottle storage and nipple flows that grow with your baby. A well designed bottle brush and a matching pacifier. It's a wonderful set up for a new mom. When it comes to use, my baby has a hard time with these bottles. While these nipples come closer to mimicking the breast than other on the market, the texture seems to fall a little bit short. I believe my first baby would have probably used these bottles without hesitation but my second has a much stronger preference to specific bottle nipples. Same goes for the included Soothie pacifier. He simply refuses to use it. The pacifier is very easy to clean and I love that it's semi see through. The bottles in include an air free vent lock. It's very easy to use and does a great job controlling the flow. It is annoying to remove quickly when trying to add more milk to a bottle, but if I was caring for a baby experiencing colic like I did with my first baby the use of the feature would be well worth the hassle.and finally the bottle brush my be my new favorite brush. It's a thoughtful design that cleans throughly, the handle is a comfy grip and I appreciate the slot for hanging. The brush has earned its spot above my sink. Overall I would recommend giving this set a chance to any first time mom who plans to combo or formula feed.

I have other Avent bottles but not anti-colic and let me tell you, these ones are a game changer for my little girl (newborn). Let me start by saying you get so much in this set it's amazing. Two smaller sized bottles and two size 1 nipples, perfect for the early days when your little sin't consuming an insane amount of ounces. You also get two larger bottles and two size 2 nipples. You also get a bottle cleaning brush and a pacifier! I tried the old ones with size 1 nipples but my little girl (4 weeks old) had a hard time drinking with maximum spillage as well as a lot of built up gas in her tummy. I switched to the anti colic bottle and she had no spillage and was able to burp easily. The bottles are easy to assemble and disassemble to clean. My favorite thing about this set is the size of the smaller bottles. Fits perfectly in our diaper bag when needed. Do yourself a favor and get this set and these bottles! This is the perfect set to add to a baby registry!
