Philips Avent Natural Glass Bottle, 1 Count, 4 Ounce

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product Through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. This bottle looked and felt very sturdy. The wide design made it very easy to fill, clean, and also less of a chance to tip over. The curvature gave it an ergonomic feel for less chance of slipping out of your hand. The bottle held up well through multiple cleanings and sterilization cycles without the measurement marks fading. The nipple flow of 1, for my 1 month old, worked well and she took to it just fine despite breastfeeding and using a different brand of bottle. I'm really happy to find a glass bottle that I can be sure is not leaking plastics into the milk during heating! The only thing I found difficult, was popping the nipple cap off with just one hand. I had to use both hands to pop off the cap, which was inconvenient when holding baby or trying to quickly break apart bottles for cleaning. Overall a good bottle to use!

As a Naturopathic Doctor, having bottles that are low tox such as glass is super important to me. Plus having tried many glass bottles, this one did have a really nice hand feel- it was easy to hold and use. We don't use bottles daily but a few times a week, and it makes me feel much more comfortable knowing I have a bottle that works, that I don't have to worry about leeching toxic molecules into hot milk in them, and that work exactly as I want. I will also add that we have definitely dropped this on accident(hello life with toddlers) and it did not break- so it's also sturdy as far as glass goes! If you're looking for a solid glass bottle, I definitely recommend this one.

I really liked the idea of this bottle more than the actual product. The glass bottle felt sturdy and well-made. The nipple and ring were both good quality as well. I pre-made a bottle and kept it in the fridge. I was worried, though, when I took it out of the fridge to heat it, that I would shatter the glass going from cold to hot. I ran it under warm water before actually heating the bottle and that worked great. The milk warmed well and evening in the bottle and that went well. My baby did not like this bottle, however. She is typically breastfed and although the bottle claims to be great for breastfed babies, we did not find this to be true for us. She struggled with the bottle and could not get any flow to happen at all. Furthermore, the nipple shape did not promote a natural latch for her.

When deciding which bottles I wanted for my child, I knew that these were the ones. I had gone back-and-forth on plastic versus glass mainly because of the weight with a glass bottle. We had ultimately decided on plastic, but now that we have received and tested this glass bottle we will be switching over. These are not too heavy at all and they are so sleek looking. Not only is the quality incredibly high, but the durability is also top-of-the-line. It heats well when warming a bottle and doesn't hold too much heat. I love how clean these get versus how plastic ones get cloudy overtime. I also love that my baby was able to control the pace of the milk, flow and that the milk stopped when he stopped sucking. I could go on and on about all the things I enjoyed with this bottle, but I will say that we will definitely be purchasing more!

It feels high quality and well designed right out of the box. The glass is thick and durable, yet not too heavy, and I love that it's a safer, more eco-friendly option compared to plastic. It held up great through heating, sterilizing, and washing with no clouding, no weird smells, and it still looks brand new after multiple uses. I felt confident using it daily. My baby took to the nipple right away and seemed to handle the milk flow easily. Feeding felt smooth and natural. I also appreciate that there are different nipple flow rates available, so I can adjust as my baby's needs change. What I liked most is the peace of mind that comes with using glass, combined with how easy the bottle is to use and clean. It's become one of our go-to bottles.
