Philips Avent Ultra Soft Pacifier, 0-6 months, Arctic White / Pink, 4 pack, SCF214/41

I was very happy when I first tried these pacifiers. After the 0-3 month soothie, I was having a hard time finding a pacifier my son would take until this one. He actually loved this one. My only issue is that when I went to sterilize it I realized that water was getting trapped in the nipple after sterilizing and after my son was using it, which is a concern due to possible mold/bacteria growth. I even went and bought another pack just in case the first ones I bought were defective, but they did the same thing.

I love these pacifiers! They are lightweight and have lots of ventilation around the mouth to prevent irritation. I really like how it shows on the nipple of the pacifier what month range the pacifier is. The nipple is soft and the same shape all around so it doesn't need to be a certain way in the mouth to be enjoyed, which also helps when the baby is extremely fussy. The colors are nice - I recieved green and white and they are nice neutral colors. My kiddo unfortunately hasn't taken well to a pacifier just yet but we have had the most luck with these! If my baby would have taken to them immediately I would have rated 5 stars but that may be my wishful thinking. I think the best part of these pacifiers is the plastic case that they come in. The case fits multiple pacifiers so it's easy to throw in the diaper bag and keep them clean and it is also a sanitizing case which is so convenient and it was super easy to do! Pacifier wipes or "old school" washing works just as well with these. I received this pacifier from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. After weeks of trying the Philips Avent Ultra Soft Pacifier, I feel as if it is not a good fit for my 6 week old. Cons: -The nipple isn't shaped in a comfortable way because my baby struggles to start sucking on it. It also seems as if my baby has a hard time keeping it in his mouth. It slips out often. -The packaging states that the pacifier is for ages 0-6 months but it seems too large for a newborn (it may work better for older babies) -The inside of the nipple has water build up, even after a dry cycle in a sanitizer. The only way to get it out is to vigorously shake the pacifier. Pros: -It has a flat profile which is great for babies since their lack of arm and hand control knocks the pacifier out easily. The handle also hangs down instead of sticking out -Nice, neutral colors -A sanitizing case is provided. It also comes with easy directions embedded on the bottom for convenience -BPA free -Does not leave marks on face, as advertised

My four month old baby really takes well to the Phillip Avent brand. We were very happy to have received this new lightweight style from Stellar Product Testing panel. The color is so nice and my favorite might I add. it's also shaped like the nipple of the breast so my baby has no problem with nipple confusion. You can flip the pacifier either way and there is space for the nose for easy breathing. I love the case that it comes with so I can easily carry in my diaper bag! Two thumbs up!
