Philips Magnavox 47MF437B - 47" Diagonal Class LCD TV - 1080p 1920 x 1080

we have wanted a big screen t v for a long time.I went on line to look for one.I found a 47in magnavox.I am glad I did.It is great we are enjoying it very much.I would recomend it very high.

I have had this in my home for about 2 weeks now. The TV is heavy, but worth every penny spent. Site to store was excellent. The sound is just fine. My TV is about 20 feet away and I have no trouble turning up the volume and hearing it without maxing out the speaker. Picture quality is outstanding and has PC, 2 HD and all other kinds of hook ups. For quality and price paid I recommend this to everyone and will be bragging for a long time.

We've owned this TV since late November. It assembled easily, with two people, and was simple to hook up to existing cable etc. My only disappointment is the sound quality could be better, but otherwise it is a wonderful product for the price. We had researched for months various tv's, and we have been more than pleased with this purchase.

We've own and used this tv for about two weeks. I was hesitant to buy a TV so expensive only to be disappointed by I was pleasantly surprised. I see all the faults that have been listed in other reviews but all in all it at least as good as our old tube-type but four times larger. We do not have HD yet so the picture is not up to its best. I will say that when a DVD is played it wonderful! If you are after the top notched I don't believe this is it but I would make this purchase again. The only thing that is suspect is the audio. We cured that with a purchase of a cheap surround sound system. If you would like to get in to a LCD this size but don't know if you should, do it with this model.

After looking for a HDTV for 3 months with a list of requirements that we wanted we began to realize any TV with the features we wanted were all over $2,000. Everyday I checked all the merchants electronics and read all the reviews I saw this Magnavox on the Walmart site. I read 53 reviews and knew this was the one, sight unseen, for us. I have looked at all the major brands and this Magnavox is up there with the big boys. It is amazing in it's clarity not only for HD but all the channels. It is also very easy to manage to your liking and a couple of times I had to check to see if I had an HD channel on and I did not but that's the clarity you get on all of the channels. I had one question for Magnovox and actually had a technician talk to me immediately where I found that I just did not wait long enough for the cable companies download to occur. They, the service people are very pleasant to deal with. I would recommend this HDTV to anyone who wants a quality TV with a very moderate price. You will be very happy you did. And you will say 'WOW!" a lot.
