Philips Norelco - i9000 Prestige Ultra Shaver with Triple Action Lift & Cut Technology - Black

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, the i9000 isn't a bad razor and does a decent job. It is a bit overpriced for what you get. It works well, but occasionally It will make a loud high pitched noise. It also lacks any accessories and their support team acknowledged that, which may be why they closed my request without getting back to me. I also purchased a much less expensive razor which does just as good of a job and is less noisy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had about 7 Philips shavers, always buying the top of the line. The battery of this shaver is terrible. I returned the shaver after 3 weeks. My battery would deplete and need recharging after 3 shaves. My shaves were about 2'30" long and I used the cleaning device from my previous shaver after each use. I thought it was a bad battery, but the replacement I got is little better. I got 5 shaves and after recharging my battery is nearly dead on the replacement. My other Phipils shavers would last about 10+ shaves between recharging. Not practical for traveling due to the bulky and heavy container. Doesn't come with a plug!!

It gives me the closest shave while still being kind to my skin. It's efficient and effective. And it does all that while not disturbing my morning with harsh buzzing. The gentle whir of this rotary is pure zen.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think i9000 Prestige Ultra was a good purchase. It shaves well. I feel like the battery does not hold as much shave time as my older 9000-series Philips Norelco Shavers. I wish there were options for more attachments so that I could get away with using the other precision trimmer from Philips Norelco. The cleaner is interesting. My old Philips Norelco shaver had a powered, charging cleaning station and would let me know when it was time to change the cleaning cartridge. I am not entirely sure how this unpowered cleaning station is supposed to warn me when it's time to change the solution. Let's be honest, the fact that instructions are all in picture is really annoying and assumes the user can't read English, Spanish, German, or French. Customers are not getting dumber, so what Philips Norelco Technical Writer came up with the picture idea? Electronics like shavers are not sold at IKEA, so why do you have to dumb it down. Please provide written instructions because they are incomplete with pictures. Who ever came up with that idea should be fired. Aside from that, the shaver does its job and I am happy with it. I just wish those in charge realized your customers can read and need words with the pictures. Trust me I have searched the internet for additional instructions. I would call, but I am sure I will get a foreign call center because Philips does not care that the customer experience is good, they just care that it is good enough to probably handle 50% of customer issues. Good shaver, terrible instructions.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This razor gives me the closest shave I have ever had from any razor. . .I love the cleaner, the case, the charging stand, the app. . .everything, really, I just wish the shaving head had less of a squared-off ridge around it. . .I have a goatee and it makes it a bit hard to get the blade in close to theses areas.
