My kids always look forward to the biscuits. This morning. I opened the pack to find little chunks of something in the dough of the biscuits. I thought something was wrong and they were old but the date is fine. Seems the recipe has changed and I'm not a fan. Probably won't be purchasing again until they go back to the original recipe. My kids could also taste the difference.
Honestly, I'm disappointed. They must have changed their recipe. Their original 4 pack used to make monkey bread and other holiday treats are no longer being sold, so tried the original grand. There were chunks of lard or something all through out it. Changed the texture and flavoring off of the biscuits entirely while leaving a residue on tongue and lips. Tried the basic monkey bread recipe with them to see if it would at least work with that but didn't hold the cinniman mixture it just became more buttery than it should have. Which lease me to think there was lard type substance in there, on top of being super sweet way more than normal. Would be nice if they brought back the 4pack original for at least the holidays.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good taste, convenient, quick, but not much better than store brands (for the price difference anyway)! Actually I usually only purchase Pillsbury brand when it is the only option available or if the product I want is a specific Pillsbury item (like the French loaf, now that's my favorite).
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have been buying these for years. Now with the air fryer, you can have them even faster. My go to morning breakfast staple in the refrigerator. Lasts for a long time even after the date on package.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are a stable in our house. I've made cinnamon rolls, chicken and dumplings, breakfast sandwiches, turkey pot pie, all with these biscuits. The list goes on forever, they are great to have around!
