I have been using these pens for a few years now and that's why I ordered this set when I saw it -- more colors! I prefer a fine tip, because I generally write small, and these are on my desk at all times. The ink flow is great, can't ever remember having 'blobs' with these pens. They replaced my previous favorites for that very reason. And they always write. If I pick up a pen and it won't write -- now! -- it goes in the trash. Never had to throw one of these away! And, I enjoy having a choice of colors to choose from. The black and the blue are great for letters, cards, and notes. I use the red a lot for making notes for myself so they stand out (ie. a note, in red, of the date of payment on a bill stub, or a change to a recipe, a reminder on my calendar, etc.) The green is a fun addition I haven't had before and I reckon I'll be using it a lot like the red one, because the color stands out and gets your attention.
I love fine point pens. I have two favorites and Pilot Precise V5 RT pens is one of them. I have them in black, blue and red ink. The fine point makes writing with them nice, especially when filling out forms, etc. and there's not much space for the info.
These are absolutely the best pens to write with. Many years ago, I had an accident that did a lot of damage to my hand. After that every pen really hurt my hand, but these never hurt my hand. They are wonderful. if anybody asked me to borrow my pen I will not let them lol. But I do tell all of my friends what good pens these are. They are the only pens I will write with for the rest of my life.
I have very large penmanship. Using a regular ink pen makes my writing look sloppy, especially with limited signing space. This pen has an extra fine point so my penmanship looks much neater. There is only one drawback, the ink bleeds if your paper gets wet. So, saying that it would be much better to sign your checks or legal papers with a jell pen. Otherwise, use it freely and switch gusto. Also, don't take it on an airplane as the air pressure makes it rupture. There is a warning on the package.
I am a loooooong time Pilot Pen fan, and use them exclusively… and daily. I am a contract worker and need a written record of my gas mileage and time and keep a Pilot Pen clipped in the spiral of my calendar. My notes are neat, legible, and permanent. Truthfully I prefer the blue ink, and have those for my personal daily. The black is best for my record keeping.
