Pit Boss - 7 Series Vertical Pellet Smoker - Mahogany

This unit was sent to me as a replacement for my old Pit Boss, which caught on fire three times in the first year I owned it. This one worked okay for a few weeks, but has since then randomly shuts off. I have to constantly check on it manually (no Bluetooth or WiFi). This time it didn't even go for 2 hours before shutting off, ruining 6 racks of ribs for Father's Day. There is no option for no stars, so I leave one star. No I would not recommend Pit Boss to a friend.

I've had this smoker for several years now. Works fantastic, have had no issues. Even had storm winds blow it off my porch and the only damage was to the handle bar on the back. The food that comes out of this thing is loved by everyone. I've even had other smokers ask me to bring this with me to gatherings. I've not put fish or cheese in it but that's a personal preference. Last year I did 4 smoked turkeys for thanksgiving by request. The only thing I do not like on this smoker is that it does not connect to the app so I can monitor temps while I'm away from it. That's the only reason I am giving it 4 stars.

I liked making smoked sausage in this smoker. Worked great for the first six months, maybe used it about 6 times before it stopped working. Now the pilot won't light and the auger won't stop turning. Will have to contact pit boss to resolve the issue. Disappointed in the product failure, especially so soon after purchasing.

IVE HAD MY SERIES 7 FOR ABOUT 6 YEARS NOW AND IVE SMOKED EVERYTHING IN IT FROM JERKY, STEAKS, BRISKET, RIBS POULTRY AND EVEN PORK BELLY FOR BACON. ITS PRETTY IMPRESSIVE IN SIZE AND HOW MUCH WEIGHT IN PELLETS IT CAN HOLD. IF YOU REALLY WANTED TO, YOU COULD SMOKE 6 BRISKETS IN IT.

Over priced for the quality, rivets have pulled out of the metal that holds legs on,throws codes all the time for heat and auger not working and customer service is non existing. Look at different brands than pitboss because there over priced and quality is poor .
