I tried this with 3 year olds just by spinning the wheel and having them find that color. They said it was “too easy”. And I know for sure using the cards would have become too complicated. I definitely agree with the age recommendations

Color Hop is a game where you hop ‘til you drop. My son and his friends have a blast!! It comes with a game spinner, 25 colored foam squares, 27 challenge cards, and of course instructions. I just wish the foam squares were a little bigger.

My overall review and opinion on this Color Hop game is that it's a great product! It's super easy to set up and super easy to play. I love that it teaches colors and turn taking.
