We have the Meta Quest 2 %26 3 %26 while those are great, there's no comparison to the PSVR 2. This thing is just better %26 the controllers with the haptic feedback are next level gaming. The immersion in the games is next level! I'd highly recommend the PSVR 2!
Amazing! the headphones look great with Resident Evil Village and Grand Turismo. the controllers feel great as well. A must for gamers who are wanting an upgrade from the Quest 2. There is even an PC adapter on other retailers if you wish to use this headset on your PC setup.
Corded and takes forever to set up, makes you go through a lengthy set up every time you use it. Games are not that great and it is uncomfortable. You can barely sit and play it, laying down is not possible unless you prop yourself up with pillows and even then it is extremely uncomfortable. Standing is your best option in a big room with lots of space. Otherwise you keep hitting boundaries that are highly visible and annoying. Streaming content is super difficult you have to download it on a flash drive from a computer then pay a monthly membership for an app to stream it. Don't waste your money. It will sit in the corner of the closet unused.
I am not new to VR in anyway, and there's plenty of things wrong with this headset. For instance, the halo style headband to some users may be uncomfortable for me. It is not however, this headset should have more support in other areas than just that halo headband. As long as you're not planning on wearing it for more than six hours, you should be fine though the only issue I have with the controllers are the grip buttons. Unlike the other controllers, I have tried. The grip buttons are very stiff and holding them down for hours at a time in game Can make you feel like you're going to bruise your finger. If there was an aftermarket attachment that you could clip onto the controller to make the whole handle the grip button that would be much better to relieve pressure, but seeing as I haven't found one of those, I can't justify using that. If you don't have an issue with mura, which is similar to that screen door effect, then you should be fine using this headset, but that is something that you can easily overlook with time in the headset. I will say that that Sony does have some quality control issues with this because this is my third or fourth headset every single one prior had issues such as defective parts and not being able to send them in for repair so buyer beware I guess.
pros- this is a great addition to the PlayStation 5. the controllers feel great for selection and moving around as you move about through the virtual environment. beat saber is fun as ever and it looks great. cons-the cable. while you are wanting more space to move around ghe cable is your limit. and while you know you have a cable attached once inside a game its near impossible to determine where you are without getting 100% out of the game or application you were just enjoying. also while playing beat saber, which is what i bought this for, there seems to be a bit if lag or delay on harder levels. Also i have bought this product twice. the first time the power basically just stopped working. so i bought another. and the power went out. sent this one to PlayStation to fix because product was still under warranty. they sent it back. it worked. two to 3 weeks later same issue. had the extended warranty and they didnt fix it they just refunded me.
