Playtex - VentAire Standard Bottle Newborn Gift Set

My daughter is a month old today. I was breast feeding and using Dr. Brown bottles and she started spitting up alot. So i did my research and found that these bottles does work. I have had to stop breast feeding not making enough milk and now she is on formula and she does not spit up at all. I am so thankful that i found these bottles. They do work!!!!

When my son was first born we tried the Soothie bottles, the drop in bottles, and NOTHING worked as well as these bottles. Until these he threw up and cried every single time he ate. We have used these since he was two months old and would not switch to anything else. To the parent who said they leak... that would be called user error. They don't leak unless you don't push the bottom piece into the bottle all the way. As far as the numbers wearing off, I haven't had that problem yet, but I'm sure that can happen with ANY type of bottle if you use it enough. However, the widened version of these bottles my son didn't care for either... I'm pretty sure because of the nipple shape or what not. Overall, this is a great product and I will definitely purchase more for my second one on the way!

I am a mother of 3. With my first two babies I used the Playtex bottles with the drop in bags. They worked ok, although we still dealt with some spit up. My third baby was born in April and this time we did not want to have to worry about having to buy the bags all the time so we tried another brand of bottles and hated them. The nipples would collapse every time she tried to drink from them and would take at least an hour for her to finish her bottle. After 2 weeks we bought the Playtex Vent Air bottles and they are perfect. Absolutely no spit up and they do not leak. Some of the reviews I have read said that the letters have worn off but we have now been using these bottles for 7 months and they have not worn off any. After she was 4 months old we started using the fast flow nipples. I highly recommend these bottles.

I like these bottles because the vent air system does work. A couple things I don't like, the measurements on the outside of the bottles eventually rub off from you handling them (after 8 months for me) and because of the vent air system the bottom tends to leak a little when you shake them to mix the formula.

These are great for reducing colic, don't melt in the microwave sterilizer like some bottles do, and my son has no problem latching on. The only problem I have is the bottom of the bottle leaking at times even though it is screwed on tightly and the plastic thing inside is properly inserted. The leaking pretty much wrecked my bottle warmer, and this has happened with my oldest son too!
