Ordered 2. Received 2. 1 is defective due to battery will not connect. The battery connected to the other one. I am aware how to insert the battery as I previously had 2 of same.
It is plug in; very easy. Also has battery backup. Not 5 star because I really don't know how well it monitors CO.
This worked just fine out of the box. It replaces an identical unit that reached its end of life after seven years. It never sounded during that time, but I have had a CO detector save my life earlier. Don't go without one.
Plugs into the wall w battery back-up (which is included) Hopefully we wont need it but if we do we hope it works
I like how it plugs into the wall in the hallway and gives me peace of mind when our heat pump switches over to propane. Also comes with a backup battery. We have one on each floor.
