I sent for this camera in April. When I received this camera, I was very happy to have a nice compact camera for cheap. That it run on easily replaceable batteries was a plus, as I was told by two of my family members who had digital cameras. I was excited to use my first digital camera. Everything was going great at first. I could select different settings in the menu, and it was easy to use. But after the first time trying out the white balance, some of the menu windows would no longer let me select anything other than default. I thought this was a minor flaw that could easily be ignored. The second thing I noticed was it's motion capabilities were not as good as the product description said. A swaying flower was fine, but a dancing group at a local festival came out very blurred. I thought perhaps my expectations of a digital camera that came in the package of camera and digital frame for $100 were too high. A camera this cheap wasn't going to be high performance. So I thought maybe I should just deal with it and make due. The worst problem however is that it goes through batteries like tissues. I was told that cameras with built-in batteries were nice until the battery could no longer be charged, and replacements were expensive, so AA batteries would be more beneficial to me. The camera only completed approximately 35 shots when it told me to replace the battery. During the local festival, after replacing the batteries the first time and bringing a spare set that I doubted would be needed, I began taking shots of the performers. After another 35 shots or so the camera would tell me to replace the batteries again, so I had to swap them out for the spare set. By the end of the performance, the camera had gone through that pair as well. I thought maybe it was how all cameras were, but a Canon that I had been considering before buying this camera estimated 150 shots on a pair of alkalines. My mother didn't like the outlook though. So, unless you don't mind blurry photos and carry a bag full of fresh batteries everywhere you go, I wouldn't recommend this camera. I returned it and bought the Canon Powershot I had been looking at, it arrived later that month. Same total price, immensely better motion capture, face recognition, and it is still running on the same pair of batteries that came in it's package. I predict this Canon will last me years.
We bought this for our 10 year old daughter and she loves it. The prices and selection in all the stores was very limited. This camera is GREAT. Easy for a child, pink and 8megapixals.....it even takes brief videos...We love it. And the addition of the photo frame is a great add-on.
This camera I bought in November and have replaced batteries every other week. I called Polaroid and also explained the problem with the screen going white with black spots well to no avail, they will not stand behind their warranty. Don't waste you time or money on a Polaroid product. Buy Kodak their the best.
I love my camera and all the great features on it!For example, I can take black and white photos, which look awesome. Plus you get a digital frame with it-you just can't beat the price. The only bad part was that the batteries that came with the camera were dead. And I must use it a lot because I have had it a few weeks and already had to replace the batteries again.
I bought the camera because I loved the color, but when i finally got it it took really horrible pictures! it either had a green tint to the pictures or it had yellow looking smears out of 25 pictures 2 actually looked good. I took it back and got a much better kodak for less!!
