PREPARATION SOLUTION: 1 jug of Povidone Iodine Solution is used to clean an injection site prior to injection. 10% POVIDONE IODINE: Iodine prep solution contains about 10 percent povidone iodine and provide longer germicidal activity than ordinary Iodine Solution. Do not use a prep solution on an open wound because it can cause tissue damage and actually inhibits the healing process. FIRST AID CLEANSER: Iodine Solution's role as a killing agent makes it well suited for cleaning minor cuts, scrapes and burns. First aid isopropyl alcohol has perfect properties and good for home medicine cabinets. MULTIPURPOSE: Povidone-Iodine solution is ideal as a first-aid cleanser for use on minor skin wounds, cuts or burns, renal dialysis, pre-op prep, and other minor invasive procedures. Great for preparing the skin prior to surgery. PRECAUTIONS: Do NOT take internally. Keep out of reach of children. Topical medicine is for use only on the skin.
