I bought my ps3 whenever they first came out. 80 GB for $499. I have had the other two systems(ps1 and ps2). This system is great except for the fact that it just quit reading games and all other media. Sony says it is my fault because the laser lens was dirty. I had it for a year and never watched any movies or listened to CDs in it. I am what i would call a seasonal sports game player. I will play MLB the show all summer and nhl all winter. So in a year I would say that i ejected a disc out of my console maybe 40 times. So how would my laser get dirty?????????? All of my other media players/computers have never had this problem. Now i have to send my system away for up to 2 months to get it fixed. Sony will charge $150 to get it fixed but i have the walmart 2yr plan so they will fix it for free. I am not happy at all about paying this much money for something that will only work for a year. Who knows what shape it will be in after I send it all over the country to get fixed. Get the plan and be ready for a big problem. You can find people with the same problem all over the internet.

Im not happy to know that these PS3 systems is just the same old 40Gb's PS3 before.that's why it doesnt have a card reader, A 4 four USB port and most of all, It cannot play your Ps2 titlle's....The old 60GB PS3 systems still is the best for you...

This item was a Christmas gift for my son. He was thrilled!! My only comment is that I wish it had come with a HDMI cord, otherwise, I recommend it to everyone.
