Prepac Fremont Espresso Twin Bookcase Headboard

Parts were not oabeled when rec8evwd had to spend 20 minutes just trying to sort oieces into what they were so i could out it togethwr and not all pieces were flush it does its job but not the most staboe piece of furniture ive biufht.

Headboard Damaged from delivery yesterday. Opened box and found broken pieces. Box is too heavy to move!! I am a totally disabled Vietnam Veteran in wheelchair. I need to have this returned as soon as possible and the refund by my Debit card

I bought this because my room is too cramped to use a nightstand and I had a few larger items (laptop, daylight alarm clock, VR headset, wireless keyboard, and other stuff) that I wanted to store in a place that is easy to reach. It's hard to find a budget headboard that is deep enough to handle that much storage, but this Prepac one fits the bill. Mostly, anyway; it's a little short for my bed, but not egregiously so. The problem is that you're going to have to look at it eventually, and that's when the disappointment hits. A lot of the veneer has been worn away along the edges before it arrived, and there's some unidentified white resin stuck to the front of a couple of the panels that I haven't been able to remove. Even if you have better luck with the quality control, the way the top panel is manufactured leaves it with a noticeable seam in the veneer right across the middle. I guess they didn't have any strips that were long enough to cover it in one go? It also noticeably smells like fibreboard, though I'm hoping that will dissipate as it airs out now that it's been unpacked and assembled. If it smells less oppressive by the end of the month, I'd bump the review up by one star, but it's a little distracting when you're in a dark room trying to sleep and the only sense that's registering anything is your sense of smell. On the plus side, it's pretty easy to modify, and I've carved out a slot for a recessed power bar that I got on a different online retailer to accommodate all the electronic nonsense I've added here instead of books. A few holes drilled into the flimsy backboard help with cable management. Honestly, I'm probably going to use it for a few months to see what I like or dislike about the layout, then head down to the local hardware store and get some 1"x12" pine boards to make myself a knockoff. If you're frugal enough to be considering this purchase and are a little bit handy, I might recommend doing the same rather than buying this.

I have moved in with my daughters family. The furniture I had took up to much space. I needed more storage. This bed fit the need. Love the storage. It was easy to assemble. It looks very nice in the space.

Styling and sturdiness are just what I hoped. And is exactly what I needed. But I have to mention that the parts were not all there. Thankfully I was able to use an incorrect part, and modify it to take the place of the missing part. I probably would not have had any problem getting a replacement part from the manufacturer, but I ran out of vacation time, and needed to get it put together. Otherwise, buyer beware, check the parts.
