I would give it 5 stars, but it needs a special "wrap around" coffee filter which is hard to find in stores. You can order them from eBay or Amazon. The coffee maker comes with a few to get you started. I ordered a "permanent" reusable filter which is supposed to last 3 years. The coffee is excellent

Percolator coffee, who doesn't remember all the visits to grandma's house in the good ole day's? Having experienced those memories as a child myself, I decided to try it. Wow factor... this percolator keeps the coffee piping hot, for as long as you keep it plugged in. Goodbye drip coffee makers, no more will we drink luke warm coffee. This little gym is well worth the price!

Overall, a great product. I wish there was an option for a base with a timer, though, if there is one, all customers should upgrade to it. Percolated coffee is much better than drip coffee makers like Mr. Coffee with very cheap glass carafes that break with a replacement cost almost equal in price to a whole new drip set up.

Very easy to use. It comes with paper filters but I don't find the need for them. Coffee comes out VERY hot and stays that way as long as the unit is plugged in. Looks nice on the counter top and is easy to clean after use. Highly recommend this to anyone tired of the P.O.S. drip coffee makers out there.
