Should be called Eat A Meal. It consumed more of the potatoes I was trying to peel than I did. It took more than five minutes to peel two potatoes and still didn't remove all the peel. It did remove most of the potatoes, however. The machine vibrated and jumped around so much that I had to hold it down the entire time to keep it from "walking" off the counter. Not a time, labor, nor money saver.
this thing is a joke dont waste tyour money!!! i have medium size potatos and still had to cut them in half. still when they were about the half there size i still hade to peel them more whats the sense in that. i can peel faster then this thing espicially considering the clean up.i used to own i thing called the rotato i just saw they got and electric one now just ordered it its much easier to use i would buy that if i was you
Its far from being perfect, but it is useful and worth the price. Can peel potatoes quickly but need use small potatoes and cut bigger ones. Wont peel if using non smooth uniform potatoes. Need finish those with a knife yourself. Overall it is good and I keep this one for my use. Will use at least once a week. Can peel 2 lb in a time. Made in China, weak motor but fine for the job. Can dry leaf salads as well.
I like everything about this item except that it should have been made to handle full size potatoes. I think it is well worth the money though and has worked well thus far (used 1 month)
I was able to reduce the vibrations and noise level of this product to an acceptable level. One-half of the base is an empty compartment for storing the cord. I placed a “bean bag” in this compartment to add weight to the base. I then placed the appliance on a rubber no-slip mat. That reduced the vibrations and I now able to walk away and let the appliance run on its own. Before it would vibrated itself right off the countertop. It does at good job at peeling removing just a thin layer.
