I really like this flavor. Also, I like these more than energy bars. Bars get messy when hot, and are more bulky. These fit in my jersey pocket better. Taste is, of course, sweet (after all, it is honey), but I didn't find it over the top sweet, and I also didn't find it as sweet as the salted caramel. I will definitely purchase more, although I still want to try other flavors. This is the perfect size for my jersey pocket and also to take on trips to Europe when I need a quick energy boost.
Just has the right texture and flavor for the middle of a strenuous event. I needed some calories in my during a 4-1/2 hour multi-sport event, and these were perfect in the bike jersey pocket (opened the package at the start, so I could just grab them out on the fly).
Honey waffles have been my staple now for several years on all my bike rides. They are tasty, light (unlike most energy bars) and provide the boost I need for 2 hour or 14 hour rides. A Honey Waffle per lap of my Everest this spring kept me going and topped-off my energy stores. This last weekend Honey Waffles were the primary fuel for a 12 Hour Mountain bike race (solo). I could not stomach anything but a Honey Waffle with the intense heat and exertion level.
My son loves mountain biking and this is his favorite pre and post ride snack. I love them because it is enough to fuel me for the ride to try to keep up with my son and not too much to fill my stomach for cramps. I have tried other honey stinger waffles and love them all, but the strawberry flavor is my favorite.
I use those on my long trail runs I like them. My only comment is that they crumble a lot. I feel I leave crumbs on the trail....and maybe don't get all the calories I need? I also tried the protein waffles. They are too dry and to be used after activity. By that time I am home and can make myself a protein smoothie.
