I ordered this product for my son who recently turned 4 months old. I thought it would help him strengthen the muscles he will use to sit erect, facilitate playtime between his 4-year old sister and him without my having to hold him or lie him flat everytime she wants to play with him, and provide a place for him to eat snacks when he reaches that milestone. I'm very pleased with the features and the options they provide (seat only, seat w/tray, and seat w/tray and toy). It's very easy to setup and is made of easy-to-clean and seemingly durable material. The very first time my son used it he seemed to be VERY pleased with it, but not since that time. He will sit in it for 10-15 minutes, but not much longer, and this is only when the pommel is being used. He instantly cries when the tray is being used. It seems the bottom of the tray makes his thighs uncomfortable. I'm concerned whether he will get very much use from it because his thighs are already filling the thigh openings. He weighs approximately 16+ pounds and 26+" long, so he's big for his age but not fat, yet he seems to already be pushing the limits of this product. I would be very surprised if he's still able to use it at 6 months of age although the upper limit for which the product is rated is 14 months. He REALLY likes the toy (detached from the seat/tray, that is). He's teething so the various items on the toy provide good "gumming" surfaces (although he does get frustrated when whatever he's gumming rotates away from him). I think it's a great design idea. However, I think it's too expensive. I've only had the product a little over 1 week, so I'm still hopeful the product will begin to meet my expectations and my son will begin to enjoy spending more and more time in it. Although I indicate here that I would recommend it to others, I would do so with all the caveats I've included here. There were none in the store where I live, so I had to order it online. However, I recommend to anyone considering purchasing this product to test it in the store (if possible) before buying it.
This is the best!! It is lighter than the Bumbo seat, comes with more items and seems to fit our baby better. We love the fact that it has a toy that comes with it, as well as two washable placemats. The tray is easy enough to put on and take off. With the tray off, there is a soft pad that fits on to help support your baby in the front. Our baby just loves sitting in her seat, looking around and playing with her toys. After one month in the seat, she is gaining her balance to sit up without being in the seat. Ever parent should have one of these.
We loved this chair!! I is very convenient for many purposes...I take it to go bowling, go outside, downstairs to do laundry, and the fact that it is so lightweight. Children often get tired of laying on their backs all the time, even in the bouncer chairs they're not as upright as this chair allows them to be. I would recommend this product to anyone!!! Although, it's a little pricy...but still totally worth it!!!
I wish I'd gotten this as soon as our daughter could hold her head up. Have read reviews stating child outgrew quickly, but my two year old can easily sit in this (without tray). Our 4 mo. old likes being able to sit upright-much safer than propping up with pillows. Loves the toy that's included. Two tray covers appear durable, though I haven't used them yet. She has endless rolls of chubbiness on thighs, and I don't see any problem with her fitting in it for a while. I do feel price is a bit high, knowing she will outgrow the need for it in a few mos. I do think we'll use it to spoon feed her in a good bit since our two year old still likes using the large high chair.
I was so excited to get this product! It does everything I expected and my daughter loves to sit in it. She is a very petite 6 months old, but she sits in it very well. And did I mention that it is EXCELLENT for feeding time?! It's wonderful to have 2 free hands to feed her and hold the baby food with instead of juggling all of that and her! It's a bit pricey, but compared to the price of the seats without trays, it's not bad and TOTALLY worth it! So adorable!
