Decent construction quality. Definitely meant for a microphone -- not a heavy iPad -- to be mounted at the end of the horizontal arm. But with a sandbag stabilizing the base and a cheap 2-pound exercise weight tied to the back end of the arm as a counter-weight this set up work perfectly as a wobble-free way to use my iPad while using the treadmill at home.

For the price, and what you get - you just cant beat it. You would easily pay this much for each piece (stand + ipad holder) separately.Yes its not the 'strongest' build/quality, but sensibly tightening/adjusting it will help it last that much longer.Telescopes VERY high which is a + as I am over 6'

i seldom write reviews (although i should, as i use the crowd's wisdom often, so i should contribute to it a bit), so the product has to be really great and useful for me to jump into this.and this simple stand makes the cut.it holds my ipad 3 in any position, and has already provoked the envy of several of my friends, who are ordering them right away.i'll be using it at an art gallery and show, but there are a million uses: holding up a restaurant's menu at the entrance, slideshowing a real estate presentation, etc...and all for a very solid and sturdy product at a very reasonable price. you only understand what goes into construction of something as 'simple' as this, when you start putting it in every imaginable position.good job, pyle!

Altogether this isn't a bad stand especially given the price for stand, ipad adapter, and boom. However, it is a tad flimsy due to the fact that several key points are made of plastic which doesn't give you a good feeling about entrusting your $500 plus ipad to it. Had they made, for example, the bottom conector for the feet and stand out of metal it might be a bit sturdier. Likewise, the ipad holder connects to either the stand or boom with plastic screw/sttachment that seems would not take much force to completely strip out. Something with a bit more strength would be more suitable. The changes might cost another 5 bucks, but would make the unit rock solid.Still, all in all, it isn't junk and worth the $35 paid for it.

Well made, good fit and finish - no poorly machined surfaces to be found. The adapter in which you mount your iPad works much better than the other reviews led me to believe. However, as other reviewers point out, depending on how you use it you may need to employ a counterweight to keep it from tipping over. I happened to have a spare two pound hand dumbbell that I use.Mine arrived one day later than expected, not the end of the world. I ordered another one for my son.
