Rain-x Windshield Repair Kit, Saves Time and Money by Repairing Chips and Cracks - 600001

This product is inferior to most other automotive products I have tried. First, the resin was leaking out of the container upon opening the package. Second, the suction cup contraption is of no use on the edge of a windshield. Third, upon attempting to level it out and squeeze the resin into the chip/crack, the crack expanded to about 4 times the original size. Fourth, even after two more attempts with resin and curing strips, there was no improvement. This product only made things much worse. As a follow up, having the Rain-X glass cleaner handy, I tried to clean up the now more damaged windshield and the glass is smudgier than ever. Even a brand new chamois couldn't clean all the residue. I am extremely disappointed in the Rain-X product line.

I got a ding on the highway and a friend suggested I rectify it myself since it wasn't a crack. I found this product in Walmart and having bought it and read the instructions - very simple if you're familiar with reading these things. I cleaned the area and attached the paraphernalia which caused the chip to crack in two directions. I wasn't able to see how far or tight I was screwing on the chamber since it's white. The instructions stated it also fixed small cracks so I wasn't worried. I followed all the steps and then moved the vehicle into the sun, I returned 10-15 minutes after and the crack and the chip was still there.

I like this style and brand better than others that I have used. The positioning system and injector allow more control. I fixed a crack about 1" wide with a chip in the middle and it is almost invisible now. It was right in the center of the windshield and annoying. Now it is not even easy to find. Instructions were easy to follow. I think there might be enough of the resin to do 2 or 3 chips, not sure but I had more than necessary for my single chip repair. I'd buy it again.

This was easy to use. The instructions were simple and step by step. Only one application was needed to fix my windshield. I had a tiny chip/crack on the glass. Now you have to search real carefully to detect where the repair is. I am satisfied with the results and 100% recommend Rain-X windshield repair kit.

I have no problem with this Product. It is Walmart that I have an issue with. They need to do a better job at quality control. I received this product open and missing the resin component of the kit. Someone had stolen that resin and then returned the product to the store, which they then re-sold to me. This is unacceptable quality control. Also, Walmart's return policy is somewhat of a hassle. I am going to be using Amazon from now on.
