Razer - Ornata Chroma Wired Gaming Mecha-Membrane Keyboard with RGB Back Lighting - Black

I've been a PC gamer since I was a young teen, (I'm in my late 20s now). I always thought that mechanical keyboards were the way to go, but this keyboard showed me otherwise. My Ornata Chroma recently broke (I spilled vodka on it )= ). And since then I've realized that it was the best keyboard I ever had. I've had to fall back on my old Razer Black Widow. I bought the Ornata because at the time I was living with my mom (as you would expect of a gamer), and I needed something that wasn't quite as noisy as a mechanical keyboard, but still felt better than your average Dell keyboard. Not only did I find what I wanted, but I found more. The Ornata provides the tactile sensation (the "clickiness") of a mechanical keyboard, but won't keep everyone in the house awake because of its clickiness. It's the perfect combination of tactile feedback and loudness. I recommend this keyboard to anyone and everyone who games on PC. Even though my overly expensive Razer Black Widow is still 100% functional, I hope to get another Ornata soon, because it is by far my favorite keyboard, it's far more comfortable (IMO), than any other keyboard, (I've had to correct so many typos in this review because of the keyboard I'm using now, this wouldn't be an issue if I still had my Ornata). TLDR; Do you want a keyboard that feels mechanical but won't wake up everyone in the house? Get the Ornata. It's fantastic. It feels great, and it isn't too loud or too quiet. I give it 6 stars.

It definitely adds a cool, techy vibe while you use the keyboard and it makes me want to use it more and more! Absolutely love it! I want to get one for my office at work too now!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upon getting this keyboard- I was ecstatic. I love RBG keyboards. Although every other one I've had has not been completely backlit. THIS ONE IS! the colors even come through on the keys rather than staying white like my laptop was. The only downside is it's very clacky on the keys.

Very easy to use, especially with my laptop and also my desktop as well. Light weight. Enjoyed that it lights up so when it do get a little dark i am still able to see the letters on the keyboard. I can carry it from one location to another without any issues. Easy to wipe of once dirty. Happy i got the color black so the color don't fade. Excellent for gamers or just for everyday use.

It has the smooth action of a membrane with just the right amount of satisfying click. The wide array of color options is fun, allowing you to change between static single colors, reactive lighting, a variety of active lighting programs, or custom programs of your own. The wrist pad with magnets to attach to the keyboard is a nice touch. The pad is supportive and the cover is soft. The keyboard also allows for custom macro creation. In all it is a great device that would works both as a gaming keyboard and in a work environment.
