RP5605 Clock Radio

I love this product. It allows me to listen to a cd while I fall asleep and wake up to my favorite local radio station. The clock numbers are large and clearly visible in the dark but, not so big that they light up the room like a Christmas tree and keep you from sleeping. The clock is very easy to program. The cd player is simple to use - just lift the lid, insert the cd and hit the play button. The unit is small and compact, making it an easy fit on any bedside table. Radio reception is very good, even if used in a basement. When you are searching for radio stations, you can actually find stations coming in strong, steady and clear. The price is excellent. The RCA brand has a long standing, positive reputation; that is what prompted me to go with this particular item over other, similar items. The unit is very easy to program. I would not hesitate to recommend this product to anyone. I'm going to buy a second unit for the guest room.

I had been searching for a clock radio with cd player for some time, for my seventeen year old daughter.the sound is good the alarm works and my daughter loves the cd player.( she had borrowed my clock radio with cd player and needed one of her own.)this is a good radio ,with good sound,and good illumination.

I didn't have very high expectations considering the low price but it is a great little product. The radio actually gets pretty good reception. I love waking to the radio! You have the option to waking to alarm, radio or CD. Has bright red numbers to see at night, and day, not that big so sitting on your nightstand it doesn't take up much space, and it has great sound even when listening to it during the day!

There were two of these in the store, one box had obviously been opened (which I figure was a return) - not a good sign. But I liked the compact design and non-fussy options, so I bought the unopened one. This radio/CD player gave me an "error" message for any CD I tried to play as soon as I took it out of the box. This is going back to the store - I'm not going to waste my time with buying another of this same kind.

The cd player sounds good. If the volume is up to loud it causes the cd to skip. But if you have the volume lowered (lower than what I like) it will not make the cd skip. I like that the cd has an auto shut off so you can fall to sleep to your favorite cd. The timer works great for the radio shut off after the selected time. Overall for the price including shipping and handling, it was very inexpensive and worth what I paid. It is small/compact for the already cluttered night stand. The clock numbers are big enough and clear enough for easy reading. The alarm works good and is loud enough to actually wake you up without scaring you. Some alarms are to soft and others are way to obnioxious to use.
