Andy's mid '90s work with Mad Professor (LIFE IS FOR LIVING and ROOTS AND BRANCHES) proved to be as good of a collaboration as his work with Massive Attack. Mad Professor hit his '90s stride in 1995, providing some wicked tracks for his stable of singers. LIFE IS FOR LIVING doesn't have as deep a sound as Andy's later ROOTS AND BRANCHES and is more melody-driven, making for a spacier roots atmosphere than his previous works. Especially solid tracks include "Rebel" and "Dem a Fraud," both with just the right balance of patented Mad Professor echoes and deep driving bass.
