Reese Towpower Class III Trailer Tow Hitch w/ 2 In Receiver Tube

Drilled four half inch holes in frame and turned hitch upside down and I couldn't be happier with this hitch. Caution to wear a face shield to prevent hot shards of metal landing in face while drilling.

This item fit perfectly for my Toyota RAV4 2011but I had to buy 2 metric screws to hang it to the frame, little heavy to install by self. Good price to compare with the other hitches.

I took this hitch to a Ford dealer to have it installed. The Dealers service deptment explaned and showed me why the hitch is junk. Lightweight metal, after being installed they will always rattle. Next I checked with NAPA, that as of last year had stopped carrying the Reese hitch due to customers complaints. It seems to find a good hitch you will have to pay 30-40 percent more. The old adage "you get what you pay for still holds true

Bottom line. This tow hitch worked as advertised. Heavy duty and feels very solid. Used it on a 700+ mile trip with no issues. I was able to install it on the car in a couple of hours once I understood the instructions. You need to understand how the manual is laid out because it is a universal tow hitch and can fit many different car models and the manual included instructions for all supported cars but there are only about 3 pages for your specific car even though there are about 30 pages all together. Also, it came with much more nuts, bolts and washers than you need and that made the installation very intimidating at first glance. (I only used about 10% of the hardware). I would have given it a 5 star rating but the box I received was torn up and open. I was missing the coiled wire to snake the bolt and washer into the center hitch section. The manual says that the wire is supplied but mine was not which delayed my installation to the next day when I ended up making my own coiled wire and it worked perfectly. From then on it only took minutes to put the hitch together. Installing it on your car is another story but will be easy provided the bolt holes on the car are clean and not rusted out.

The Product is as strong as the REESE HITCH name. However, Walmart does not tell you the item is for many models at different model years. Which is a WALMART PROBLEM not a REESE PROBLEM
