ReliOn Platinum Blood Glucose Monitoring System

I haven't had a new meter in awhile so I'm used to older models, but I am impressed with the design of the strip as it really does not need that big of a blood drop to work. Also, very quick read.

Size is perfect for in your purse or bag. App is easy to connect to and manage. Readings are stored and easily accessible as well as Accuracy is pretty spot on. The company will also send the little tester liquid for free if you call and request it so you can periodically check to make sure it's working properly

I like the convenience in that I don't have to keep a log or write anything down and I have my numbers on my phone when I go to the doctor. I don't have to make sure that I have a written log with me because it's always with me.

I had to buy an urgent meter after I discovered my onetouch verio had been discontinued. The Relion Platinum is what my mother used. I find the included strips easy to use, and the lancet device is much more able to get blood the first stick than what I've been accustomed to. That's a plus, the device once setup lets me know that its added a reading to the app account which removes my need to remember to do it manually. I love that so much. It is unfortunate that the carrying case is such a travesty and they did not have more thought into it. the small pouch you'd think would be right for lancets, but it doesn't stay closed, they fall out with the slightest bump most of the time, and if your shaky from abnormal sugar you may end up throwing out product because it landed on a messy floor. I would highly recommend an improved pouch, with an enclosure that stays sealed so the lancets do not end up on the floor potentially hurting someone. Being light weight is a plus, being weaker than the TP you had in school at holding structure? maybe not so much.

Works great, great price, and has the cheapest test strips of any brand out there besides possibly some of the super cheap no name glucometers I've seen out there that I would never trust to be accurate. Also, the manufacturer will give you free log books and test solution whenever you need it, for free, just ask for it online with your mailing info. They don't even charge postage. This really is the best value glucometer out there, even cheaper than what your other brands are likely costing you even after insurance pays their part. At least it was for me and my family members. Cheaper to buy this completely out of pocket without the insurance, amazingly. This is the glucometer I recommend to anyone who isn't using insurance, and tell those who are using insurance to double check what they're paying as this might be a cheaper option.
