It does what it's supposed to do. But the epilating process gave me tons of ingrown hairs. And it is a touch painful.

It hurts but you just have to get used to it like when you just start to pluck your eye brows so if you would like to save money on wax and you have places that need it this is great also i have not tried my bikini line or arm pits. be brave

First time ever owning this kind of product and could not be more pleased. Worked great and painless on my legs.

It's great, but it is not the best. I would recommend it for people new to epilating and would like to try it out. This is great for legs and arms (thin hairs), but it definitely does not get all the hair, just a majority, so you do have to go over certain spots a few times. The pain on legs is a lot less than I thought it would be. It DOES HURT (a lot!) on underarms, I will not lie... it's not delightful, but overtime I hope I'll get used to it. I do love this invention, but if you're looking for a 100% reliable epilator, try getting an Emjoi epilator, more expensive, but it's a keeper. This epilator is more for the cheapskates and beginners :)

For the first time user, the Remington Smooth & Silky can be very painful but it does not rip the skin. However, once I got use to using an epilator I wouldn't go back to shaving for nothing in the world. My underarms have lighten because I no longer have hair bumps from shaving.This epilator is very light weight and it is the perfect size for underarms and the bikini area. You may have to go over places more than once if you have course hair, but I would say this is an occurrence with most epilators because I have owned 2 epilators (which I hated) from Braun and spent much more on those. Also, you can use it plugged in (extra long cord) or cordless.**I gave it 4 stars because Wal-mart stated that this epilator comes with a zipper pouch, detail trimmer, and shaver head....NONE of those things are in the box only the adapter, cleaning brush, and actual epilator. For $24 and it works, I am just going to keep my epi in a clear plastic make up bag to store.
