Not at all what I thought I was getting. These blinds are basically the same as mini blinds, but just 2" wide. They were difficult to install, with vague instructions. Poor quality. But they were much cheaper than the others, so I guess you get what you pay for.
Blinds we not what I expected. Description lead me to believe they were faux wood but they are actually regular thin, cheap, plastic blind material with attempted grain stamp. I kept them anyway because I didn't want to wait for return and reorder. They are ok for price but not what I was expecting, so disappointed.
Price caught my eye on these 2" blinds but to my disappointment when we received them they're just 2" miniblinds on steroids. They're thin like a miniblind but I was expecting thicker like a plantation. The price is ok for this product but with a dog at home they won't last long. So...they're going back. Please have better description on items online or pics of all angles of the product.
I have purchased blinds for over 45 years and everyone I have seen or purchased come 1/2" shorter than the specified size. These are the exact size and I needed the 1/2" for adjustment. The quality is good, but I would have to trim every slat as well as the header.
We recently bought a house, very exciting, but not a one of the windows had blinds on them! Two things I cannot live with are white walls in my home and no blinds on the windows! I looked around at several different home improvement stores, online stores, etc. for the thick, wood, white, room darkening blinds ... not the thin, cheap looking, plastic ones, but the prices i was finding for them were outrageous! So, I checked Walmart.com (since I couldn't find what I was looking for at our local Walmart) and found these. I misread the item description, probably because I was so excited I had found the "2 inch white room darkening blinds" I was specifically looking for and for far less than other retailers were selling them for! I placed my order immediately and was so excited I was able to purchase blinds for every window in my home for $180! I ordered them on a Monday, they arrived Wednesday evening of the same week, and I was even more excited for this because they were not supposed to arrive until the following week! I immediately had to see them so I opened one of the packages, pulled out the blinds, only to find out that yes, while they were the 2 inch white room darkening blinds, they were not the thick faux wood ones I thought I was purchasing. They were the thin, plastic (kinda of like the normal blinds you see in apartments), still 2 inches wide, just thin. So, I logged into my Walmart.com account and checked the packing slips with what I thought I had purchased, realizing I had ordered the wrong ones (because in my excitement of finding such a fantastic price, I did not pay full attention to the item description), as well as ordering 5 of the wrong size, because I measured wrong and they were too big for some of my windows! I was so disappointed because I have ordered many things online and it is always a pain in the rear end to return an online purchase! So, my husband being the "stress free, don't-freak-out-just-yet-we-can-fix-it" type, he suggested we install one of the sets that did fit, even though I told him repeatedly he was wasting his time because they were not the "faux wood" ones that I wanted and I was positive I would not like them because I had my heart set on the "faux wood", not the thinner plastic ones. He told me to just let him put it up and see what I thought, if I completely hated it, he would take it right back down and we would return them and buy the faux wood ones. He installed a set in our bedroom, took him about 10 minutes or so and called for me to come make my decision. Well, I absolutely loved them! Even though they weren't the thick 2 inch wide faux wood ones and were the thin 2 inch wide plastic ones, that I swore up and down I would hate, they looked just as good! They still block out the sun, which I was doubtful of because they weren't the thicker blinds. I could not be happier with my purchase! However, I still dreaded the process of having to return the sets that were to large because like I already said, anytime I have ordered from an online retailer, it such a hassle to return the item. I completely understand that in order to return an item purchased from an "online only" (Amazon, Ebay, etc.) retailer for an exchange or refund, is to ship it back to the seller/retailer. However, I have purchased items online through retailers (Victoria Secret, American Eagle, just to name a few) that offer in store and online shopping because due to not having a specific item in stock or available at the physical store, or getting a better deal by purchasing the item online, I went ahead bought it through them online. In the event that a shirt purchased through these retailers online was too small or the wrong item all together, you have to ship it back to them, wait for them to receive it, wait for them to process your refund or exchange, wait to receive the refund or exchange, reorder and wait for the new or correct item to arrive, and hope and pray that through this long process nothing gets lost or misplaced and so on and so forth, instead of just simply walking into the retailer and saying "hey, I ordered this through your online store but I need to return or exchange it for something else." So, all of that brings me to this, I thought for sure that since I bought the blinds online and my local Walmart did not have them available to purchase in store, the only way I could return them was by going online and having to deal with the long process of returning things online. Well, low and behold, I was wrong again through this process! After looking over the online returns policy, I learned that even though my local and semi-close other Walmart locations did not carry these specific blinds, they would still accept the return in store. So off I went to return them and CS lady even suggested putting the refund on a Walmart gift card so that I could immediately go home and purchase the correct sizes of blinds I needed online instead of sending it back to our bank account, which would take a few days to process on their end and no telling how long on our banks end to return us the amount. She understood my impatient nature and provided a perfect solution! Just to be sure, I want to make it clear that the incorrect sizes I originally received were solely my fault for being incorrect since I "assumed" all the windows were the same size and placed an order before be completely sure of the exact size of each window in my new home. So, in closing, even though I was solely at fault for not paying full attention to what I was ordering, misread the item description, and was disappointed when I first received the blinds, they turned out to be perfect and well worth the trouble. Returning online purchases in store was a breeze and I could not be happier with the outcome!
