Compared to other machines I've used, this machine is the most versatile. You can take it upstairs, up on the roof, in the attic... wherever needed! It is powerful enough to clear difficult clogs, and you don't have to worry about the cable twisting up.
I own a drain cleaning business and purchased the K60 with the 7/8 coils to be the anchor that propels my business forward. I've mainly use the machine to unclog residential sewer Lines. I'm accustomed to using the Rigid K1500 cable machine. I purchased the k60 due to the versatility and portability. I've unclogged close to 100 blockages ranging from root blockages , tampons, rags etc…. The more difficult root blockages require a saw bit at which you'll have to allow the bit to gradually cut the blockage as You ease your way further down the drain. With a stronger machine like the 1500, root blockages are easier to tackle. Again, I don't encounter difficult blockages often but when I do the k60 can unclog but with a little more time and finesse. I've already made my return on this machine and some. I highly recommend purchasing this machine along with the enclosed drum holder for your cables.
We have 3 of these now for our plumbing company - and have been pleased with the performance. They are lightweight but get the job done for your basic residential plumbing needs. Wish the heads weren't quite so expensive - but other wise it has been a good investment for us. Having all our trucks outfitted with the same machine means we can swap parts if needed.
Excellent machine. So light so portable so versatile. Can easily carry the k-60 in one hand cables in the other. Very small machine but I haven't found a drain that I couldn't clean yet. I run the first 15' section c-10ic this allows me to clean sewers up to 6”. Roots are a problem here in north jersey and this machine is great. So much lighter and versatile than a heavy drum machine. Large selection of cutters and augers. Most versatile sewer machine available
I had a large General Drain Machine, that worked good, but was so heavy and bulky! The K-60 is easy to transport, in the house, outside, and very helpful when I need to get on a roof!
