It would have helped if in the product description it would have told us that this bookshelf is made of a fiberglass and wood laminate material. I just open the package and inspect the "wood." Even though it is lighter and maybe more durable with care than particle board, "it is nothing to write home about."

Very cute shelf. Seems durable. Easy assembly with detailed instructions. I'm not very good with building things and I assembled myself in under an hour.

I love it! Perfect for my daughters room. It's a little bigger than the photo shows. All pieces were included. Only down fall was a small paint chip on top of dresser but I painted it in with white out and now looks fine. Great buy for the price.

Purchased for a toddler's bedroom and it fits in well. It was the size and quality I expected (i.e., neither oversized nor especially well made, but I knew it was inexpensive when I purchased it, so no complaints), though it did arrive with one shelf showing minor damage. The assembly was mostly straightforward, though all except 3 of the 26 holes for attaching the thin back panels were not pre-drilled, which made fastening them more of a chore than it should have been.
