It's cute, compact, and inexpensive but pretty much useless as a composting bin. The lid does not have a good seal and there is no filter so it smells up the kitchen. After a couple days, I noticed the plastic itself started smelling bad with nothing in the bucket. It's now only used outside.
Larger size is helpful, permitting almost a week of a single person's vegetable debris to be collected before toting it outside.
Perfect size for the kitchen.
I really like that this has the option of sealing when you move the handle, or being really easy to open. Other compost bins are too difficult to open often and can be a pain. Even in the 'easy-to-open' option, it seals well enough to keep the smell in.
Good design, good size for composting kitchen scraps.
