Not a bad starter set for someone who wants to learn then get a better one later on. Amp is a decent starter/practice amp. You'll want to replace the guitar strap and possibly amp cable (the one they sent me wasn't good) for something better. And the carry bag is like a windbreaker for your guitar, basically useless junk.

I'm just starting and this was a good deal. There was some damage, but that may be why it was marked down so much. Also, the whammy bar may be missing a piece. It screws into the front, but has not affect on the sound. Overall, I am still happy with my purchase. The package was a great deal.

As mentioned; wood finish is very good. Sound is good for a package as economical as this is. However I have a problem with guitar, audio cable, amp itself ( possibly all three ). When volume on guitar is increased, mid range has loud buzz from amp. At low end or high end, buzzing goes away; but comes back at mid range. Called MF and agent is sending another audio cable to possibly correct problem. Should mention the rep. that I spoke with; top shelf, couldn't be better, should be commended for his service. I bought this combo as I'm just starting to learn, and it seemed like a good deal. Cheap price and was delivered to my place. I used it for a while and although it was my first guitar, I started noticing the mediocrity of this combo. After the first month it wasnt sounding nice, the A chord was buzzing, the neck was peeling. I took it back and even the store rep said it's a bad guitar. The amp too, although loud enough but was too basic, it doesnt even has a drive nob, instead a switch. The store didnt even ask questions and took it back, I changed it for an acoustic for now and will buy an electric later .. but will invest in a good one that sounds nice.

This is a good starter guitar package for a novice, but not recommended for an experienced player of any level. It has three humbuggers and ten switches along with a whammy bar. The neck is of decent quality wood, but advice from some educated employees recommended not getting this guitar because of quality issues; however, they approved of it when they saw the sale price I purchased it at and me being a beginner. So the experts approved of it as a guitar for a beginner.
